The B0 family of Tsugami Swiss Type Lathes is designed to give you exactly the capability and capacity you need at an affordable price.  Each incremental model adds features to the core B0 machine and bed, and represents years of Tsugami testing and research.   

The B0206 20 mm 6-axis convertible CNC Lathe adds Y2 axis capability to the back tool post for additional flexibility to the B0 configuration. Tool positions increase from 21 (B0205-II) to 25. This B0206-II turning center allows back milling operations to be overlapped with the machining operations on the main spindle, greatly reducing cycle time.    

This CNC automatic lathe includes many high-end  features such as Tsugami’s gang type tool post, rigid cast iron frame, 10,000 rpm main / 12,000 sub spindle speeds, and the FANUC 32i-B control.  The machine’s shop footprint is small considering its complex part capability.

The Tsugami B0206-II is CONVERTIBLE and may be run as a traditional sliding headstock Swiss Type Lathe using the guide bushing or run without the guide bushing with the addition of an optional chucker kit. When run as a “chucker”, the turning center can use drawn bar stock instead of centerless ground stock, dramatically reducing remnant size and increasing shop flexibility.

The B020M-II Turn/Mill Multitasking Turning Center represents the perfect integration of an automatic CNC lathe with a vertical machining center in a compact machine tool for producing small, high-precision parts. You start with the functions, precision and speed built into every Tsugami CNC lathe and enhance it with a powerful vertical milling spindle mounted to a B-axis that indexes 180° for CNC milling operations with the workpiece in either the main or sub spindle.

The result? A compact, flexible multitasking machine that is ideal for long runs of complex-shaped parts made from 20mm bar stock, complete in out set-up.

Eight efficient, powerful motors drive the main, back and tool spindles; back rotary tool; tool magazine;  B-axis; X1, X2; and Z1, Y1, Z2 functions.
